okay, there are some important things to remember when ordering:
#1 - browser problems?
Unfortunately, my website's shopping cart is sometimes incompatible with certain browsers. For the most part this seems inconsistent, but the site is built and tested using Netscape/Firefox. If you're unable to post your order with one browser, don't panic. Instead, try a different browser or e-mail me at taylor@parcellpress.com. I'm always happy to work through an order via e-mail.
#2 - no phone number necessary!
When you're asked to enter your address and shipping information, there is a field for your phone number. I don't do anything with your phone number and don't need it. You can't leave the field blank, but you can just type "none" or "hello taylor" in that field.
#3 - cash payments
You CAN pay with CASH, just continue through the order process selecting "check" as your payment method. After you review your shopping cart and send your order, you will come to the ORDER DETAILS page. At this time, you can PRINT all of the information (essentially an order form) and send it with (WELL-CONCEALED!) cash payment to the address which is shown. Just be prepared to round up or send stamps to match your total. For example, your order total could very likely be $5.12, in which case you may want to send $5 and .12 worth of stamps.
#4 - check payments
This is easy. Just follow through the order process and checkout with "check" as your payment method. On the final ORDER DETAILS page, you will be shown a total with shipping and Parcell Press's address at the bottom. PRINT all of the information and send it to the address shown with a check for the total with shipping.
#5 - paypal payments
Follow through the order process and checkout with "check" as your payment method. On the final ORDER DETAILS page, you will be shown a total with shipping and an e-mail address for Parcell Press's paypal account. Add $.50 - $2.00 to help cover paypal fees (please add at least $1.00 if your order is over $30, add at least $2.00 if your order is over $50) and log into your paypal account. Transfer this amount to the Parcell Press account: taylor@parcellpress.com.
#6 - shipping costs
There is a flat fee PER OUNCE for all domestic orders. Because this doesn't account for the lower per-ounce rate on heavier packages when mailed 3rd or 4th class, I will always send your orders in the fastest method possible given the amount of shipping money that was collected along with your order. I'll also be sending a lot of free things in your package, so don't worry.
#7 - international customers
I love to ship zines to excited readers in all corners of the globe, so certainly non-US customers are highly encouraged to order! When you do, please select "international" as your preferred shipping method at checkout. This will just give you an estimate on how much you can expect to spend on shipping your package of zines. Because shipping rates vary drastically from country to country, I'll have to pack up your order and have it weighed and then, via a friendly e-mail, give you a final total cost including shipping. I'm terribly sorry, but a lot of times shipping internationally can seem unreasonably expensive, but I assure you that I'll do the best I can to find an affordable shipping method. |
